At 3:23 today, they have notified the Ranch, Black Butte of the evacuation of the ranch due to the George Washington fire.
If you have love ones there this weekend, call the Red Cross at 1-888-895-1099.
Shelter set up in Sisters Oregon.

All weekend we could see the plumes of smoke here in Bend, Hope and pray all's well.

flew right over the top of the fire on the way down to Reno today. I think they call what we saw "blowing up".....incredibly thick plumes of that brownish-white smoke, and blowing directly towards Black Butte.

Hope things change, this front blowing in probably won't put any water on it, but should cool the air down and give it a little humidity.

Scary; but should be good for wildlife in the long run.

I live in redmond, and let me tell you the smoke just keeps getting worse. I think it is because they are putting all of there resources on the resort sides and just letting the other side burn. The good news is they are calling for rain tomorrow, plus the north side has burned into the Cache mountain fire from a few years ago, so hopefully not much fuel left up there.
