My wife and I headed out about 8 am for our 41st anniversary tuna trip (yea, she’s a catch). We followed advice and headed towards 44°45 by 125°12 about 60 miles out. We hit 59°water at 35 miles but the water didn’t look good. We saw some jumpers at 45 miles and caught one quick but then nothing for 45 minutes. We picked up and moved out to 44°47 x 125°4.8 where we saw feeders. Instantly had two doubles before we could get rods 3 and 4 out. Landed 7 and lost a few in about 15 minutes. That’s all we needed so we packed them up and headed in.They hit cedar, clones and iron. Hard to leave when they’re hitting like that, but we’re not feeding an army.

Terrafin has route planning tools. I use the distance calculator. Set home port as your origin and the distance to any point your cursor is on shows at the bottom of the displayed graphic.

Thanks all. We will head nw towards 50 / 50. Will call out what we find. Not looking for big numbers, but hoping for a fun day with the boys.

awesome! how did the new fish bags work out? how many fish were you able to fit in one?
I like them, really rounded out our albacore situation in the boat. Not very resistant to gaff punctures. We fit 5 in each I think? Could probably fit seven 15 pounders with better ice management. We had too much ice in bottom of the bags.

Good lessen in fixing things when you know they’re broke.
I told you I had a new trailer coming, but that was because of the cross members. I didn't know there was anything wrong with the wheel until it fell off. It was well greased?
