It's just about that time for a dedicated thread. Ocean is looking GREAT the next few days!

We picked one up last week, 6lbs on the scale. Not terrible at all for an early fish. Who else is finding them?

Just finished with my second native only took 30 minutes. Just north of twin rocks 245’ of water temp 52. 12 oz lead 33’ on line counter.
Was nice to chat with ya! we were in the Arima.

We ended up getting our 8, but it took until about 10:30. Trolling in the same area, about 250'. heading south was the right move. 25-30 on the line counter was most productive, and they seemed to like lures with red/green color. Back at it in the morning.

Port was super busy this morning. Looked like the good old days with boats waiting to launch all the way around the loop backed up to the motel. So much so that folks with a morrage had trouble getting cars into the parking areas as we navigated trucks and trailers.
We left port at 6:55 and had hooked up 14 times keeping four 10-12lb coho by 8:15. Had a feeling and dropped in at the right spot.
Cleaned, filleted and bloody Mary’s & chicken fried steak by 9:45.
Good morning.

We left the dock at 3:00 this afternoon to try for the afternoon bite. We were looking for all the crashing birds like we seen coming in from tuna fishing the other day but never found any. We did find lots of bait and what looked like coho chasing them on the finder but we couldn't get them to bite. Ran out to 300' and found more bait and eventually found 3 nice coho. They were deep, 40+ pulls but so was the bait. Not sure what they were eating, one was stuffed with this. Trying in the morning!

Dropped lines around 7:15 after setting out pots, had our 8 fish by 7:59. Went down to the 3 arches for some bottom fish to let our pots soak longer. Ended the day with 8 coho, 8 lings, 8ish rocks and 48 crab.

Coho were found about 200 fow, moon jelly and hallucinator 360s with spinfish did all the work.

Sounds like garibaldi put a hurting on the quota today.

Todays report - tough fishing for me at least. Fished straight out from Twin Rocks, started at about 7:00 at 240' or so and finally got a few hits out at 300' but missed several, then landed my only keeper of the day. Did toss back a just legal coho but was hoping for something better:) Sure hope all you guys found em today!! Beautiful day though and glad to be out fishing.

The reason few don’t fish south is since the start of the internet, everyone posts ā€œgo to 180’ off twin rocksā€
Obviously there’s fish there, but there is no electric barrier in place due west of the tips that prevents fish from being south.
Find the birds, rips etc and coho will be there. North or south.

Creature of habit. I've caught fish there so I return to the scene of the crime. I'll expand my horizons when I'm back out this Saturday.

We will be back at it starting Sunday morning for three days thru Tuesday, then North to Westport Wa. to chase Tuna for a few days with Mark Colemans
boats for late season Tuna Then back to Garibaldi the following weekend assuming the season still has quota left by then. As Sprigdog stated the salmon are all over the place
off the coast of Tillamook, just use proven search techniques like watching for birds, slicks or bait balls on the sonar. If i find them again I will call out numbers. Up to you weather
you respond or not. As said before it is a big ocean with plenty of opportunity for all.
