Viewership is up by 5%. It's still down, but rebounding.

46 of the 50 most watched shows are the NFL.

Sunday Night Football is the #1show on TV.

I don't watch much football, but what I watched this weekend seemed to be a quality product.......Good games IMHO.

I will admit that I really didn't care who won.

I’ve tried to watch it every once in a while over the last few years but I keep getting turned off. There was a game three or four weeks ago where kiko Alonso, a linebacker for the dolphins, was running in hot to hit a qb and dodged him at the last second to protect him so to speak. They still threw him out of the game, he didn’t even hit him! I just can’t watch anymore, the game is unrecognizable to me. That being said I’ll probably watch the super bowl.

Kaepernick? Oh, please. That guy is so 15 minutes ago. He's radioactive. Any team that signs him is just looking for publicity. He hasn't even been mentioned since early in the season.
The NFL doesn't subscribe to the "there's no such thing as bad publicity" mantra. He's been largely forgotten, and I hope it stays that way. Sports and politics are a bad mix. Just ask Jimmy Carter. :palm:

I used to watch a lot of NFL but any more I just watch college games. As far as there being more penalties called...maybe but as a viewer, there are a lot more camera angles. With the high definition TV's its a lot easier to see the fouls that the refs are "missing". That's my 2cents

Refs have a tough job but I find it irritating when they miss face mask violations and I saw a number of them this weekend :palm:

This has been one of the best NFL seasons in years. No more protest nonsense or political bickering with the league and the white house has made the distractions go away.

The flags don't bother me too much. Both teams get them. Seemed like it has mellowed out since the beginning of the year.

Always bummed out when a playoff game ends on a missed field goal though.

I'll be rooting for the chargers next week against the Patriots in New England... but that is one hell of a long shot.

Sound like another XFL season is coming. Watch a few of those games and you'll start to appreciate the NFL again.

Much better since the media quit televising the deadbeats.

XFL will fail again I'm sure. I think a big contributor to that is going to be the AAF, which launches this year in February. They look like they're putting together a really good product that will run during the NFL's offseason.

Watched the end of the Eagles and the Bears while on the stationary bike and that was a doozy. Poor kicker for "Da Bears" had two last minute FG attempts, one dead eye center but a few feet short, the 2d bounced off the left upright, fell onto the cross bar, and slowly flopped on the inside of a FG, lol. Least popular guy in Windy City and looking for a job......

Haven't watched the kneeler league since the the 1st. incident w/ the match head. The nfl might recover some ground in the short term. However the lure of sports prestige & money is quickly being overshadowed by the long term effects of repeated player concussion injuries.

Many jr. leagues, high schools & even some colleges are not seeing the numbers of football pgm. participants to sustain their teams. These are athlete breeding grounds for the most part that could/will make or break the nfl. IMHO.

I could really care less if the nfl survives or not. Our family has moved on & will never return to the nfl... right down to selling our C-hawks season tickets.

I enjoy watching a game now and then. I’m glad the rolling, kneeling anti-America protests have been neutered. It’s good to see some teams taking a stand against spousal abuse. I predict tackle football in schools will be unrecognizable (if even in existence) in 25 years as the data continues to reveal the risks & concussions for childhood glory and parental pride.

Bless the NFL, NBA, MLB, NAASCAR, NHL, video games & yes, tuna fishing. They keep thousands of people off of my river.

I miss the days when cheerleaders had more air time.

Go Chiefs!

When the disrespectful attitude of NFL players started up with their protests and the league started accepting some forms of protest and then sanctioning others my wife and I turned our NFL gear sweatshirts into shop rags. No regrets in not watching anymore found better things to do.

We were discussing yesterday.....the quality of officiating seems to have gone down since the advent of instant replay.
