Default Anyone else bank with Umpqua?

I loved my bank until this week. They rolled out some new digital banking system that disabled my login on Monday, and they have not returned e-mails or called me back -- when their circuits weren't too busy for me to leave a message. Anyone else doing a slow burn this week?

I feel your pain. I have been a customer for many years and until now I was completely happy with them, then I tried to log on yesterday. I spent a total of 2 hours ( three different calls) before someone answered. Snotty person acted like I was bothering her calling for help. She was able to get me going but when I tried today I was once again lock out. I stopped at the local Umpqua branch and they told me that the whole system was a mess. Seems someone sold them a "better" online system and it's turned into cluster****. Once you do get online I don't think you'll like the new system, I don't.

Umpqua is one of my banks, but only for storage, so I rarely go online. They have been touting going digital but I guess it did not work out well if you guys are having issues. The next time I go in to make a deposit, I will just take my log in info and have them make the change for me. I hope it works.

They're merging with Sterling and it has been quite a process. The mobile banking and the online banking is supposed to be all squared away by the end of the month. At least that's what I was told.

Maybe they hired Oracle for the transition. This sort of thing usually only happens in government. But it doesn't mean all of private enterprise is incompetent.

Rodney, that was my very thought. Blame it on Oracle!

Couple of things I learned during the changeover adventure. You cannot use "inprivate" browsing, or it won't remember your one time code, and you will go through the security setup over and over. Plus, if you use IE8 as your browser, and Umpqua bank in the past has had you add their webpage to "compatibility view" settings under tools, you now need to remove it.

I do no banking online.

I was with Sterling. The merge to Umpqua was okay at first. Then the fees began. With Sterling I received a statement in the USPS each month, no fees required. Umpqua said in order to avoid fees, I'd need to do my banking online.

That's when I closed my account with them and moved on.

I've been waiting for a call from them since Tuesday. I call and it tells me there's 192 calls in front of me.

On point switched format a couple months ago. It took a trip to the bank to figure out. But since then it's been great.

Yes but I refuse to do online banking and think we have enough accounts/money there so we have not been hit with fees yet. We have survived several mergers they have gone through. We have a advocate/contact at one branch that works with us very well. We have had dealings with the parent that did not go well.

If you decide to move to Clark County I would suggest Columbia Credit Union (or some other local credit union for that matter). It has received multiple Best of Clark County awards.

My son and I had a joint account at Sterling. He was in the Navy and I could deposit if needed and he had a debit card. This transition has been a nightmare. My son is out and home now. The account will be closed soon.

It's possible that some of the bugs are getting worked out.
