Well, it's been a long haul, but here is the backstory. June 26 I tripped over my own two feet and went down hard. I spent 50 days in the hospital with one surgery and then some other complications which I believe were the hospital's fault. Since I had been in bed for 50 days my muscles atrophied and I could no longer walk so I was sent to a physical rehab facility where I spent 90 days until I could walk with a walker. They dropped me twice. Four days after leaving rehab I fell again because my blood sugar dropped to 30 and my legs just collapsed under me. Only one night in a different hospital this time, just scrapes and bruises.
At this point there is no way I can get back to fishing until I can get rid of the walker. I would like prayers for strength, both mental and physical, so I can get back to a "normal" life.
Tip for those on Medicare. Buy a plan with minimum or no deductibles or copays in your supplemental. My bill is pushing $400,000 and is totally paid. You never know when something will happen which could wipe you out financially.
Until proven wrong, assume you are the weak link in any system.
