Default Need some help on a Duck Call.

Hey Gang,

I have this duck call. It has belonged to my family for 3 generations. I recently saw something similar on eBay that sold for a significant amount. I have been thinking about selling it but want to authenticate it. I am hoping someone here knows something about it, or can at least point me in the right direction to make sure it is the genuine article before I sell it. Any help or direction to a 3rd party would be appreciated.

eBay Listing: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Bowles-Duck...p2047675.l2557

My call:

If anyone has any thoughts please let me know.

Thanks,
~30PTF

I would post this up on a couple of the Facebook groups. There are some very knowledgeable people on all things decoys & duck calls in these groups. Seek out John Affolter. He will likely know.

Northwest Waterfowl Hunters and PNW Waterfowl Addicts are the two I would start with.

out of curiosity, why would you want to sell something that's been in your family for that long?

I don't know anything about duck calls other than that I use them and ducks come in (sometimes). But it would be a cold day in Haydes before I sold great grandpa's hunting equipment.

I would feel the same way, but, grandpa never hunted a day in his life. Him and my grandmother were collectors of a great many things, this being one of them. It has no sentimental value to my lineage.

Sent you a PM with my number. Have a pretty good idea on the maker and ballpark value if you can send a few more pictures
