Default Type 2 Fun

Just finished up a 4 day trip with a good friend from out of town who decided he wanted to come help me try to get my first Roosie - thanks dude! We didn't fix that but we had some good times despite the winter preview in the Alsea unit. As a visitor he has an excuse for under-preparing. I, on the other hand, should have been less cavalier in preparing our camp for a bit of weather.

Here are a few things we kept coming back to for laughs, discussion, or to pick sides:

Laughs
- "yeah, that sounds more like a duck"
- "I think we need to be more aggressive"

Discussion/Confusion
- What do Roosies really do when rains?
- How are we going to lure that spike away?
- It's BLM we can totally camp here. I think.
- tall people find Tacoma's none too comfortable.

Pick Sides - we didn't really need to do that much but I'm not sure my buddy is vulnerable to the coast hunting bug. Dang.

I've got a few more at bats left this season so not out yet!

Hope everyone is also having some fun this year.

Man that rain! Looked like elk rifle season out here in the coast range. Sorry we couldn't meet up. Tomorrow? I have not had that much luck getting something going in rain like that. Although finseeker may disagree. It always became more of a beer and snack type of day. But there usually is not that many strung together in a row

Sitting here feeling like I'm coming down with a cold, cough, cough. Might not be able to work tomorrow...

Sitting here sharpening some vpa 3 blades and listening to some Jerry Jeff. And having a stout.

Be cool to run one of these through a bull this weekend. Pressure has been on and I've been super frustrated this year. Buddy came to town and we had a rough few days. Wounds have been licked now and I'm feeling relaxed going into the weekend.

Hope we get a glorious last few days. Gonna need those memories to get me through February!

L8r alligators, Chris

Thanks to B.rhet, Finseeker and Salve4Chrome for the help this year.

"Yeah, that sounds more like a duck"

Was someone using a Carlton cow call?

Yes! Brett has one. That dude actually calls well so I wasn't going to pitch any fit. But every so often he'd try that estrus buzz and I'd be like, "incomming! Don't point!".

My current collection, minus the ones that just go AWOL. 3 on left are free to a good home. Of 2 on right I like em both. Tone is great on Phelps but I think I can handle the Rocky mountain call better. Easier to go soft.

Shoot straight my friends.
