Default Thank you, Captain Pete!

My brother and his son are SO excited!

He called from Pacific City where he is staying, asking me where on earth his son Brett could get into a fish. ANY fish!

I thought and thought, but could come up with little. He said Brett is just beside himself, because Daddy bought him a new fishing rod.

He said that on the way down here, he was so tired from work that he had to pull over to nap. He did it where Brett could fish by the lake. All the sudden, he woke to a big scream and , "Daddy I got one!"

Anyhow, I thought and thought and finally came up with calling Pete, who told me he was going to the ocean. (Our own ifish Pete!)

Pete was already taking someone, but said yes, anyhow.

So, I called my bro and told him and I don't know who is more excited, my brother, or Brett. When he said, "So... do you really think there is a chance?" I said "Yes" and he repeated it to Brett. I heard that scream! (Boy, did I hear it!!!!)

Anyhow, big thanks to Pete. You have made two fishing guys really happy!

Jen

I'm happy to do it and I hope they have bigger smiles at the end of the day. It's about keeping fishing fun ... I'm excited, too!

I hope you'll take pictures! Brett, his son, is SO cute!

I don't even know how old he is, now. 8? He loves fishing like nothing else! David's older son Ryan, also loves to fish. Why don't my kids????!!!!

Dangit! Ruined them when they were little, fishing in the rain storms on the Columbia!

Pictures will have to wait, but we enjoyed a flat bar on the way out (earlier than it should have been flat). First stop, two halibut. Then we released a 20+ pound wild coho hooked at 120 feet in 240 feet of water. Followed that quickly by hooking a chinook at 60 feet and another at 120 feet. 13 crabs on the first pull, then a solid effort on bottom fish which completely eluded us. Finished up with a couple more crab and scurried back over the bar before the start of the 8 foot outgoing which surely would have kicked up some breakers. Saw a lot of nice ling at the cleaning table - clearly we didn't hit the right spot for those yummer nuggets.

Pete sent me a couple pictures from my brother David Logsdon, and my nephew, Brett. Isn't he handsome? (Brett, not my brother!!! )
Actually, David is fairly handsome, also. He got all the looks....
(Hey girls! He's single! If you send a picture of your best ocean going boat, he'll e mail you. He's going to KILL me!!! )

Oops! I messed up on the time and place of the snooze. David fell asleep with Brett at Town Lake.

Also, and I'm REALLY going to be a dead woman, now.... but he says:

...I just saw the last line about being single. If they have an innertube
and fish, they have a date.
LOL! Run, Jennie! Run!
