I swear my buddy is that way. I have no idea how many rifles, shotguns, or pistols he has but I’m guessing he could shoot a different one every day and not shoot the same one during an entire year

To put it into the words of former Texas senator Phil Graham:

I have more guns than I need but not as many as I want.

Good responses. I'm actually to the age where I need to downsize. I don't need 15 shotguns..... or do I?

Still waiting for the punch line from the OP.

If this isn’t sarcasm, how many do you think a person should legally be able to own and why...?

I need a new barrel on one. Once it gets it. I will have one more working gun, than I have now. Even though in legal terms it is a gun, right now. I probably need an AR15. and 3 uppers for it. Then ammo for each. How many can I own? As many as fits in my gun safe I assume. And all the ones that do not.

No. Especially the sub gauges. Please put them up for sale so we can support you in downsizing.

1. Download ATF form 4473
2. Answer questions 11b through 12c

If you answered yes to any questions you are prohibited from owning ANY firearms.

Everyone else already gave the good answers! I wouldn't want someone to make a mistake during a firearm purchase.

There's no limit on the number of firearms a person in Oregon can own... Buy as many as you can before the inevitable "Evil Gun Buyback" legislation happens.

About every other time I visit the local gun shop I find something to take home that I had no idea I wanted or needed until I walked in the door. Every once in a while I find a gun in my safes that I forgot I owned. It's like getting a new gun all over again when that happens. Great feeling.

I'm shopping for a long range sheep gun, because I'm sure I'm going to draw a tag in 2020. As a confirmed archery hunter, my .270, 30-30, or 25-06 might not get out far enough.

Do you handload? I’ve heard good things about a hot .270.

I have a good friend who loads .270 with 140 grain accubonds. Says he can get 3100 FPS with full charge. My head says that's plenty for my sure to draw ram tag, but my heart wants another BIGGER gun.

I had one 50+ years go in a 721 Remington. Killed a 4 point roosevelt with it at age 18. Sold it in college in order to to keep eating. Had three .300 Win Mags since, which have been sold along the way because I archery hunt deer and elk. Is your H&H ported? lol

No. Why ruin a nice 721. They don’t kick much, sort of a warmed up ‘06. I refinished the stock, scrubbed out the barrel real good and into the safe. Put a scope on it too. Leupold VXIII 1 3/4 X 6. Have never fired it. Somebody bedded the action at one time. Don’t remember if the trigger has been changed. I’ve got an extra Timney sitting around that could go on it.
