Re: Need recommendations for a Yamaha mechanic
I personally have been seeing a problem develop over the past 5 years. Several boat manufacturers are having great success selling boats in the Northern Oregon and SW WA. That is a good thing, I am happy for them. The problem arises when there is not a sufficient service infrastructure to service all of the motors on these boats.. I am sure that I am not alone in my frustration in this topic. Good luck getting a motor repaired in short order in PDX area between the months of May and Sept. Many of us do most of the simple maintenance items ourselves, but when it comes to a complicated repair I feel better having a trained tech do the job. I am guessing that some folks (like me) have found a small shop that can get the job done with a reasonable wait, but would not post that info on here as if said shop got a lot more business all of the sudden, the wait for repairs would grow significantly.. Not sure what my point is just venting I guess.
