This doubles both as a steelhead and a killer sea run cutthroat fly

Plugs, I know this may be random, but what do you do with all of the flies you tie?

I go through spells of tying jigs like crazy, but i'm not a jig fisherman... I fish them occasionally and stick to about 4 patterns when I do, and I think last year I had a huge sheet of closed cell foam on a wall full of jigs..... more than I could ever fish at the rate I fish them, so I gave a bunch away to youngsters..... your flies are excellent and I enjoy scrolling through them, just curious, you seem to tie a BUNCH

keep up the good work!

I hand them out to kids and their dad's while I'm fishing and donate to different organizations like Project Healing Waters and other clubs so they can auction them for their fundraisers. Sometimes I leave a handful on a picnic table, a dock or the top of a boat ramp and stand back and watch someone find them and get all excited

Oh ya I've been tying a bunch this year because I'm below Warrior Rock here on the Columbia and we've been closed for salmon fishing the whole time.

This is one of my own patterns. I tie the head that far back on purpose and the fly gets tied on riffle hitch fashion for where I fish it.

Freehand no name Spey fly for Coho.
I thought it sucked. I didn't have any opposing sides turkey for the wings and that was the best I could do with what I had

Plugs.

Where did you find the recipe for the Twilight and the Lap Dancer? I did searches on those two and came up with flies that looked different. Thank you

Can't remember where I found the Twilight. The Lap Dancer was my own idea which is a green butt black bear with red guinea front of the black hackle and wing and the wing I did so sparse you can't really even see it in the photo

Twilight
Body: 1/3 flat sm. silver tinsel front 2/3rd's purple wool
Rib: small oval silver tinsel
1st Hackle: Purple schaplen over 6 strands pearl Krystal flash
2nd hackle: Long soft grizzly

Plugs,

Thank you. I am fishing the Deschutes in late August so starting to put a box together and those flies looked good.
