Default Clarno cat

Every time we go fishing anymore this kid shows up and comes along. Name is Adin and he is a good kid. Went down to Clarno about 7pm and I hooked this about 8pm on chicken breast. Adin wanted to reel it in so did till it got close to bank To big to lift out with the line I think so took the rod and walked it down the bank to where I could slide it out. It's still down there with my son so haven't measured it yet or weighted it Biggest cat I ever got! Has to be close to 30" and 5 or 6 lbs easy. See when the son get's in if I'm still up.

Well Adin just happened to be here to go fishing again. He was fishing for bass and messed up his line and I was sitting there fixing it and getting him going again and fish hit my line. He saw the bite and grabbed my rod. It hit it again and told him to set the hook and he did and reeled it in First one all by himself! 22" and 3#! Rod he was using is one my son found laying on the road, maybe 5' ugly stick with Shaminno reel. Rod to light and reel doesn't work well. Next time down I'm gonna let him use my old Mitchel 300 and a med action 6' Shakespere rod I just got. My own first fishing reel was a Mitchell 300 half bail, kinda of cool! He wore short's and tennis shoes tonight and waded in the river fishing for bass. First time he ever waded and he got two bass!
