Day 2 - Mon Aug 25 and Buoy 10 closes to king retention. So what did we end up doing all day? You guessed it!

and yet again.....

Eight kings total.... half brights and half tules, although the tules were on average MUCH bigger than the URB's. Everybody on the boat caught at least one, and at one point we landed a double on BIG kings. Sorry no other pics due to the hot and heavy action (but ChiefGillRipper, Sleeper, and I did get some nice video, though).

LMWS almost boated the biggest coho of the trip, but it shook free from her lucky spinner just out of net range!

Main motor on my sled was still dead. Checked it out with a buddy as best we could. Starter turns over great, CHECK.... getting plenty of fuel, CHECK.... getting spark, CHECK.... and still no go! ARGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!

Stopped at the roadside bait shop to reserve 'chovies for the next morning, then headed down to the Chinook store for ice cream bars, then it was back to camp for nice warm showers and a BBQ'd pork chop dinner.

Afterward we drove into town to watch the sunset at the beach. Here's the Jr League yukkin' it up at one of the sheltered picnic tables as the waning daylight began to take on a radiant orange hue:

Then it was off to the shoreline to watch the sun go down:

Going....

Going....

GONE!

To cap off our evening excursion, we stopped by Doogers for dessert. The girls highly recommend the Marionberry Cobbler and the Key Lime Pie!

Back to the cabin at KOA, we taught LMWS to play her first game of pinochle before hitting the hay. With or without my main motor, the next day would hold the promise of tide-fresh coho! Ready we were!
