Default Salmon in the Metolius again

Came across this PGE information which I thought was pretty interesting. I saw that others have posted about the return of anadromous fish to the Metolius in the past but I missed those posts and was unaware of what was happening. Here's a link for those interested.

That would be great if they could make it work and not a waste of our money

in theory it should work fine, its just how they manage it.......if it works that would be a great thing for the local economies over there.

A lot of folks are looking forward to restoring this portion of the Metolius's fisheries.

IF successful, I believe the Metolius would be one of the very few NW rivers to have its complete, original complement of salmonids and all the various life histories. VERY rare these days.

If you check out the Sisters Nugget newspaper archives, there's been a series of informative articles tracking this project.
