Default Lost my dad

My dad died unexpectedly on Wednesday....his name was Marvin Combs. He was a fixture in the law enforcement community in Deschutes County for 30 years before retiring and taking the chief job at port orford for 5. From there he went on to Lincoln County as part time help until his passing. Hunting camp will never be the same again!!

Very sorry to hear that. I know it must be extremely difficult. You and your family have my deepest condolences. To have it happen unexpectedly has to be the worst part.

I am fortunate to still have my father with me, but at 83 years old, anything could happen. I am dreading that day.

Sorry for your loss. May peace return to your heart soon, Im sure your father would want it that way. I fish with some of my Grandfathers gear and imagine the time we spent together and think about what his perspective would be for me now. Every time I'm out fishing I feel his soul speaking to my heart so I fish a lot. You do the same. It will be hard at first but over time it will be a chance to reflect on the wisdom he left you with. You can find comfort in your fathers accomplishments and contribution to society that he chose to dedicate his life too. His life was extraordinary and that's what we all hope for.

Well no one could tell me how to feel, or help for that matter when I lost my pops.

May times get easier for you and your loved ones. Keep the campfire lit for your Dad!

My deepest sympathy. I also lost my dad at 68. His was cancer, so I feel your dad did not suffer like mine. Still very hard to lose a parent at such a young age.
