Default Any Willy smallmouth yet?

Anyone out there snooping around yet?
I did a shakedown run yesterday, which proved to be a good thing since I mounted my minn Kota but forgot my peddle. Still was able to hit a few of my favorite spots with nothing biting or many fish marked. Water temp in some shallows was almost 49’. I will try again soon.

Thanks for the report anyway.

Made it out for a few hours this evening. Found a few fish in shallower water, on structure, in slow backwater seams. Water temp was 50.6’ where I was finding them. All were the standard cookie cutter 12incher Willy fish.
I fly fish so I’m limited on depth. Beautiful time on the river.

I posted a full report with pics and video on the main page. I went out on Sunday (22 March) and landed 9 smallmouth (biggest around 2.5lbs) and a big pikieminnow. Fish were shallow and aggressive. Rattletrap was the deal for me that day.

Thanks for the report! Willy bite has started. I'm hoping there are no floods this year.
