Default Snake River

We are trying to get over in may for 10 days. Working on logistics. Plan is to go to a private RV park on the river on the old highway. Fish the river in the small boat for catfish May 6th-16th are the dates we are working on. Anybody going over to fish?

Going to the Bend to fish in the catfish tourney?
Had an old friend that went over for it every year from this side.
He'd tow his travel trailer and take his little luminum car topper along to fish from.
He won the tourney one year in the late 80's I think. Maybe early 90's.
Always took home a big cooler full of catfish fillets.
All that mercury over the years, must have got to him. Died of double lung cancer about 10 years ago. never smoked a day in his life.
See you on the big river Bud.

I do not see a Catfish tournament listed anywhere.

Farewell Bend used to have one. Or so I was advised back then.
I lived in Ontario at the time and drove up to meet them, and hang out for a while.
But they were out fishing.

I will be getting in late Wednesday night into Richland. Not towing the boat or bringing the yak. Staying in that little motel in town. Fishing all day Thursday then headed out Friday morning to shoot squirrels till Sunday.

Went there around this time last year...small crappie...some perch and bass. No catfish.

Nice! I'll be in either a black 1500 Ram or a 2500 Ram. Will try to stop by and say hi. What will ya be driving and/or what does your RV look like.

If you guys see carp float by with the air let out of them steer upstream and look for a 20’ Camo grizzly with bow fishing platform ,come say hey and take a few garbage cans full of fish home 👍🏻😳

I will have the 12' with 15hp. Boat is camo, motor is white. Hopefully the river is not ripping too fast.

Sounds good! I will be from the bank....most likely Hewitt or Holcomb park.

Don't want to pull the jet craft all the way there for 1 day of fishing. Maaaybe the kayak...but it was kind of a pain last year for one 3 hour trip...was exhausted after the wind and rain picked up. 1 foot wind waves...not fun.

That little store in Huntington posted on Facebook yesterday the catfish were hitting about every 15 min and 3 and 4 pounder's. Also posted recently that they were catching some crappie, 12-13".
