Tanner is sure being quite, Me thinks he is out of breathe from blowing up his big blue inflateable   Are you taking big blue down the river with you? I dont even want to know where the Hamster comes into the name, and a dead hamster no less. I have heard some sick stories about hamsters, and warned Zaq last night to not partake in any of your hamster games.

Pigmaster - I dont think 3 little pogies will win the derby, no matter how much huffing and puffing the big bad sheding dog does.

Geeks gonna be using a circuit board out of an old computer for bait, and not understanding why the old ink that dripped in his pocket protector isnt working for a lure scent.

Catchless and Eat should wake up around Noon on saturday and decide it is time to go fishing, which will be a couple hours before Giz surfaces.

Wiz - Stay out of the river, Last I checked it was illegal to wiz in the water.

Snapshot - Has your wife signed your hall pass yet? I hate to see you get left at home wearing the apron. Maybe if you cleaned the toilets and baked a batch of cookies the night before you wont have that on your list of to do's on Saturday

I have been having nightmares that the fungus boat will be kicking off a stank that will turn the fishing off around us. Maybe if we pressure wash the fungus off the bottom of the boat before we hit the river our odds will go up. I hope that greem slimy stuff comes off.

Hampster....... Rat whatever.

Wiz, now that everyone knows who you are, would you like to share a few tips with us. Maybe you can start with a few stock market tips and follow up with "Good boat colors for the spring season."

My Wilie is small, green and fuzzy. The Dr. says the green has a calming effect. Small makes it easy for the dog to get snacks. Fuzzy is good for traction. You are just mad that your Willie is not fuzzy.

Geek, you have really let your fans down. Now stand up and smack you lilly. Or your Willie!??

I gotta run. Just heard that they are putting Brooders in the pond at the sportsman show.

Mark and the dog, who does not run on anything called an "Excercise Wheel"

Rats

Allright, boondoggin the Columbia. In a drift boat no less. Is that why we're not using float tubes on Johnson Creek?

Hogmaster, Limbing trees? Hey I can do it with the best of them. It just proves that you dont have to have your line in the water to catch something.

BOE, I'm usually am up by 10 am. Its the two hours in the restroom that makes me late. It's a 40's thing. Your time is coming sonny.

To the rest of ya. I have never professed any knowledge of steelheadiing. I am "uninformed, ignorant, and Cherubic" Not to mention that I don't learn so good anymore since turning 40. BUT........Look out!!!!!!! Armed with many copies of Fishing And Hunting News, STS magazines, Cutouts of Bill Monroes thursdays Columns and a box of RITZ crackers I fully intend to have my way with some steelhead....Where ever we are fishing.

Hey Wiz, do I bring my sturgeon poll?

Dear Martha Stewart,

I am putting together a winter fishing event for some friends and Catch a Tree. The plans are going well, but I have a question on the decorations, and I would really appreciate your thoughts on the subject...

Websters dictionary definition for "Hampster"-An Angora rat.
Long haired vermin.

Cmon guys I'm giving you a lot of material to work with here.

Mark and the dog.

Wiz,
How long has it been since you visited Idaho?
A) There are no Safeways here. It's Joe Albertsons Supermarket, but the fish department is mine!

B) The Govenment is afraid of us here. You watched the News lately?

C) Idaho is so broke it can't afford Orange Prison Jumpsuits, we'll be wearing hand-me-down BDU's that the National Guard turned in because they were worn out.

Oh, and by the way, I don't think you need to type slowly for us. We are smart. Heck, my I.Q. is over 60, I'm sure.

OK, I am going to be quiet no longer.

1. Roy, beware, the Hampster of death knows where you live. By the way, I understand that you used to be part of Darcelle's crew.
As to your question, no, Big Blue is staying at home. We will be floating in the Stealth Willie Drifter. So while you are bailing out that garbage scow you call a driftboat every ten minutes, Team H.O.D will be riding high and dry and slaying the steelies.

2. Flatfish, You only wish you could see my Lizard. Your Dog would be running for his life.

3. Safety Chain, You Rock. I like the Mascott.

Hogplaster, I kind of like the decorations I left on the Wilson. Gives it a bright and cheery feel. Puts a smile on your face knowing how much care was put into the job. Don't worry though, the shrimp tails will eventually rot off and the river will smell much better in a couple more weeks. Thinking I missed a real opportunity on the Clackamas though. It could have used my touch this year. Gary, I will see ya during springer season though. Got some old socks that might spruce up the property of yours. I'll dip them in so shrimp smelly jelly before I give'em a toss. I must appologise that my post is not as long as yours.

Flatfish, I am no tree hugger so I don't mind clearing a little brush on the river for fellow i-fishers. Need lessons? I teach real cheap!

Team Moose Drool? more like Team Moss Pool.

When I limit in Oregon in the AM and then Limit in Washington in the PM would I automatically be the winner? Dont think I could get to Idaho in time to show team drool on themselves how to fish the clearwater. hmmmm.... unless I started fishing Oregon closer to the Idaho border.

Limits in 3 states in one day would be a real hat trick.

3 semi-abnormal ifishers with varying degrees of attitude and complete and indisputable reputations for absurditiy plus 3 dogs - One always involved, especially if there is roast beef on rye, one a wonder dog (sure wonder about that dog!) and one that has "issues" and is confused ("Am I SUPPOSED to poop on the neighbor's front lawn or not???)" =

Well, here we are on the eve of the splendid event and the smack talk thread has arrived with all of the strength of a raw liver steak. Seems as though people aren't as confident of their abilities when the winter run isn't as strong as it was last year, so they're afraid to step up and deliver some talk. Pity.

Luckily for you folks I'll only be fishing on Sunday, so you can have two days to get to the fish market and find the biggest farm trout that they have. Remember to make sure that you are far enough away from the market so that it doesn't appear in the background of your riverside photos.

Best of luck to the thirty other aluminum boxes full of crackers that will be bouncing their boats off of the boulders as they head downriver this weekend. Try to remember that the biggest joy is merely being out in the rain and wind, and that catching fish isn't all THAT important. It will help you cope with the certain failure that you will experience.
