Default Spring Stripers run is starting to kick in

A few Double Digit have been caught in the Sacramento Side. Below Rio Vista as of now, with several 5-7lb early run males. With the lack of rain, the system has been clear of muddy colored water. If we have dry weather or only modest amount of rain, this will be keeping the river fishable and things will just get better for the next 4-6 weeks. Glide, S waver baits and topwater are getting the better grade fish,,,gregg

Thanks for the report. Where is a good place to find some striper gear, I haven't been down that way in a long time. Looking for Pline lures and some plastic baits and might need a few more topwaters. We'll be in the water April 22nd it's a ways off but trying to be prepared.

Have a trip booked next weekend 3/28. Last I heard was live bait for nicer grade of fish. Will give a report when we get back.
