Heading home from Clear Lake in a few minutes. No pics at this time because our fish were just average, 3 1/2 to 6#. The best day produced eight fish on minnows, senkos & flick shakes with three of them being 6# or close. The big event was hooking up with an enormously strong beast that actually broke or cut me off. The pic to the left is an 8# 11oz Clear Lake fish. There was no comparison between the two, so I'm certain that now I at least know what a double digit fish feels like. Next year - Next year.
We got home without any problems other than having a total blowout on the trailer, but that's another story. I thought I'd add a couple of pics just to show that we actually caught something. Grandma caught several with a new personal best of 4# 11oz. It was also her first experience at sight fishing and my first time in probably 20 years.
This one was fun because I spotted it from the dock on a nest not 20' from the ramp. I dropped a flick shake nearby and watched him swim over and pick it up. Pretty cool. Of course, right after the photo opts all fish were sent back to finish their business.
