Default Looking for an old fiberglass blank

I am trying to help a friend repair a broken rod. The rod apparently has sentimental value. I need a fiberglass outer sleeve with an ID of 4 mm (0.156"). I only need a couple inches for the sleeve. I need fiberglass so the splice doesn't add stress to the graphite rod.

Do you have a broken or unused fiberglass rod that I could use?

Inner sleeve using solid glass is the preferred method. But given you ID, that won't be easy to find. At best that is a wall hanger at this point.

I have an old Roddy spinning rod around the house, your welcome to the piece you need out of the blanks tip. Live in Milwaukie.
