Default How's the crabbing in Tillamook Bay?

Thinking about a trip there on Sunday. Not sure if they've been getting many hard ones or amounts.

was there a week and a half ago. kids used rings and got 13 in 45 minutes.
mixed bag with fullness and hardness. Some were great and some where empty.

Kids had fun and then we went out and got some salmon so in all it was a good trip

Used pig livers and hearts for bait since we had just slaughtered and had them on hand.

Don't know about bay but picked up a couple limits just north of the north jetty last Saturday. Only a few softies, most were pretty full and even got some barnacle crabs. Worth the effort. They will only get better from here.

Most the reports I know talking to buddies is inside the bay its 75% soft and 25% hard. Getting a fair amount if you want to pick through and toss out the soft. IMO I don’t waste my time with soft, no flavor low meat.

We went out yesterday, 6 pots for about 6 hours. Ended up with 12 nice ones. 3 were jumbos. Crab harbor and around the point.
