Cool deal!! We gave plenty of halibut and salmon. I’ll be out for tuna all week. I’m determined to hook up on my marlin gear again. We lost a giant fish on a 16” marlin clone last time out.

Hoping to make my first tuna run tomorrow. Sounds like straight west to 124.5 is a good bet?

I hope to catch 2 butts then get on the tuna train. My dilemma is how long to stay on the halibut grounds? I don’t like the timing of the tides but also would hate to leave and miss the bite. Decisions......decisions...

Today was very good fishing. Left the dock at 6, an hour later than usual due to the tide. Dropped in gear just past the banana, hooked up on a small tuna in about 5 minutes. Scratchy fishing with singles until about noon, the. It went nuts. 1 28 lb. blue fin, 39 very nice grade albacore. Lost 7 or 8. Headed in out of ice at 28 kts. Most fish cane from the middle of the pig. Caught fish on mexi flag, hot pink, purple and black clones, as well as x raps. Once the bite picked up could barely get the boat in gear before hooked up again. Great day with a great crew of guests.
