Default Kevin Newell, charter captain, river guide and cover model.

My wife told me to check out the most recent Chinook Observer.

The cover photo was none other than Totalfisherman, Kevin Newell.

https://www.chinookobserver.com/news...bf4890c90.html

It looks like Oregon is going to set their state record for the recreational tuna catch.

Most days it out there it is just a handful of charters, Opportunaty, and a few sport boats- I have no idea why nobody is fishing as it is awesome right now.

If you ever thought about tuna fishing, now is the time, as fishing is amazing.

Kevin and his new boat are doing pretty good. Got a photo from him this morning showing the latest day’s catch. Did a quick body count and it looks like 52 fish. Wish I wasn’t laid up and could go out.

Yes, I see his updates on FB almost daily and he seems like a very fishy guide and a very nice guy as well. He's posted live video of the Liberty Gun going 42 mph a few times, making the trip to the tuna grounds in short order. $500 per angler (not including tips). I would love to go with him someday, but arranging a six pack crew would be difficult for me.

Hoping for a fast recovery DogZilla.

Congratulation Kevin! He's been killing it the last couple years.

Tunatinder will be out this weekend pending south wind magnitude. Can't wait to run 'n gun and throw bait!!!

I'm looking at wind finder.com, and seeing south winds at 20+ --- that's not typically a decent day. I have a 30' sportsfisher, but am guessing it wouldn't be a lot of fun..??? What's it really doing out there?

Did Newell but Wayne's old center console? I watched the rear end of Wayne's boat disappear onto the horizon a time or two. Last I heard Wayne had to hang it up due to shoulder problems...
