Kershaw Sale

I thought I'd stop by the sale today on my lunch hour. Bad idea. At least 300 people were lined up out front. Cars parked on the road as far as the eye could see. Kershaw had a port-a-potty set up, which was a nice touch. I couldn't stand in line long enough to score a deal.

For those of you that had the time to wait in line, what did you get?

Dress warm, wear comfortable shoes, take something to read.

2 hrs I think not, I stood in line almost 3!!! The sale was not as good as it was last year. For the wait in the cold I would buy on ebay.

Yeah, I just got back. Was going to go fishing afterwards, but didn't realize I'd be standing there for two hours in line! The wait was pretty well worth it, although I only spent $80 and I saw people coming out with what had to be bags and boxes of well over $500 worth. I picked up a couple headlamps, an Alaskan Blade Trader, and a large buckknife that retails for around $150. It was fun! Line was waaay shorter when I came out though.

Went to the sale specifically to get a couple folding fishing knives. I have a few already but I can't seem to find one without a big search. There's one in my vest, one in the drift boat, one in a drawer, and who knows where else. Anyway, I was disappointed when they didn't have any this year. I did manage to spend $37 on a pruning saw, head lamp, and a new switch blade that I keep at the ready in case of an anchor emergency. Also met some fun people in the line. All in all, not a bad day. :smile:

Flasher said what a mess. Parking crammmed full. Streets crammed. Line out around the building. Luckily it was on her way home. She came home.....
