Default Prop slip issue??

My lake boat is a 2004 NR 18 ft splash well with a 90 Yamaha . The prop is 17 inch pitch and the gear ratio is 2.27. When properly trimmed the WOT RPM is 5900 and GPS speed is 35.1 mph. It flies out of the hole and I'm very happy about it's performance. Just curious, though-- My calculation of the prop slip came out at 16.8 % and the online calculator at bblades.com was 16.1%. Interesting also is when the motor is trimmed all the way down, the max RPM dropped to 5600 with a top speed of 32.2 and prop slip of 18.9. Is this within the expected range of slip? jonb
