In the future, Mudhole has what your after. Works like a charm, various diameters. Ive been using it for static testing, and honestly, you can even do some simple casting with it if done right. FYI
Toad gave the right answer to your question. Mudhole is the place to go. They also have guide foot adhesive, which works well for holding small guides in place, before wrapping.
A very good alternative to surgical tubing is the rubber bands used for orthodontics. You can buy them in different diameters and thicknesses. You can buy them on Amazon or just go to a local orthodontics office and see if they will sell you any. You can get various sizes and thicknesses depending on the size of the guides and or blank you are using them on. I usually fold them double to make them tighter. The nice thing is that it makes it easy to adjust the placement of your guide placement.
