I bet that fat would make a lot of home made soap, Boot grease, Lamp oil. Then the skin for the oil containers. And hats of course.

It was a sub adult male, not a female. In the video the guy with the pole herding the animals into the cage was WDFW biologist Steve Jefferies, he has worked with sea lions for 40+ years - if you do not believe me ask the WDFW expect.
