Default Return of Yoda's Lounge to the SSS

It's True....Coming back to the Saltwater Sportsmen's Show after a 2 year hiatus.... Yoda's Lounge is back!

What is Yoda's Lounge?

Along with several "special guests" I host this informal, small-group setting where we have mini-seminars, demonstrations, and conversations on a number of timely fishing topics. This includes:

San Diego fishing: gear and tips for success (we may have a special guest, to discuss rod building for your SD tuna trips). Do you know what 20 pounds of drag really feels like? Test your strength on my gear.

How to make a great daisy chain / bird rig for tuna trolling (this rig is the BOMB up here).

"So you wanna catch a bluefin".....

Make your own shrimp fly (we'll have the materials)

How to make deep-water rockfish rigs with "bead gear" (Note: this relates to the "Long Leader" seminar on Sunday morning)

Using dead bait for tuna: Chum, hook bait + slow pitch iron jigs & swimbaits (a popular, past seminar)

We also just chat about whatever topic most interests the folks present. This includes fish stories, exaggerated or not!

See you there (or.... "there, I will see you")

No one spends more time looking at nautical charts than Mark. I am sure hours could be spent discussing seldom fished areas off our coast, I know I am going to do a lot exploring in areas that we have talked this year.

Go Mark, go.

Thanks Ron, All. I'm really looking forward to this. And just seeing all your crusty faces!

Hah....Dan......yes, staring at charts is an exciting way to pass the time, especially in the winter

I know this is short notice.....

If you have any diving / troll plugs.....X-Rap or Yo-Zuri etc. with the stock treble hooks.... I'll have the good single hooks to swap them out for you. Cost: one fish story.

Come on by the Lounge.
