Default Bait and tackle south of Newport bridge

There is a new tackle and bait shop coming to the south side of the bridge in Newport. It sounds like there will be enough room to pull trucks and boats thru to load up ice They will carry new and used rods (rod repair) reels and have tuna, salmon, rock fishing gear etc. sounds like they’ll carry the necessary gear to catch fish out of Newport. Sounds like it will be in the old PUD building. This will be a great addition to the fishing industry.

Now that’s good news, I hope they can make it. When is the opening date?

The owner is a good dude. One of us, fishes his own boat out of Newport. Excited for him to get it up and running.

That's outstanding news. Randy over at Harry's bait and tackle has been talking about retiring for some time now. Where is the old PUD building?

What? The area is big enough for a Costco, but most is behind a secure lock gate, (pretty sure public will not go thru that) , as some business and commercial fisherman have rented space back there.
My boat is stored inside there as well.

The only area accessible outside the gate is where my sons old shop was, which is pretty big.....Or the old admin offices...

Hmmmm?
