Default Pawn shop "finds"?

Saw these items at a local shop-

9' Rogue, 15-30lb. Model #902sc

Fenwick fly rod FF857

Daiwa Luna reel (two of them)

Penn "Levelmaster" (steelhead size) on an old looking Shimano rod

A different shop had a 10'6" Okuma Guide Select, 12-25.

What are they worth?

They are probably worth way less than they are asking. The rod, reel and tackle market is in the tank right now. Don't believe me? Try selling a quality rod or reel right now and see if you get what you are asking.

I'm going to be selling my boat for scrap aluminum prices here pretty soon.

Haven’t checked Alum. Prices these days but may get more than you paid for it.

They want $50 for the Rogue, $100 for the Fenwick, $90 ea for the Daiwas, and $40 for the combo with the old Penn.

The Okuma at the other shop is $110.

I'd think the Rogue is a good deal, but like my Mom said, "If you don't need it, it's NOT a good deal".

The new Rogue rods on the going out of business sale were $125. $50 seems pretty good.

Make an offer on what you want. This isn't the best time of year to be selling fishing rods and they might just want to convert the inventory to cash. Pawnshops make a lot more on loans than they do selling stuff.

If I thought I had a use for any of it, I'd have bought it. Mostly I thought there might be someone on here who'd be interested. The shop prices things on a time scale. The longer something sits, the lower the price. For example, the Rogue will drop to $40 in another month. I can PM the location of the shop.

Early 2000's I stumbled on a GLoomis IMX STR 1084c brand new for $150 and a GL3 STR 1024s for $75
both brand new with stickers
The lady said she didn't understand how I could be spending that much money on two rods

Yes. This is where I find myself. My FS85C had the tip broken off 4” 20 years ago. It’s caught many Chinook since then. But it’s like #9?in my salmon rod line up, and I never fish more than 4-5 people and rarely more than 3.
The collector in me wants a whole 85c to fill out my set of 79 & 83c Fenwicks which I use often for shallow water springers and steelhead.

Want vs. Need
