For years I have been so impressed with the King and his game, his preseverance , dedication, civic respoceability and what he did for the Cleveland fans. Why must you succumb to the dark side and join the evil empire. He's dead to me now. Come on small market franchise lets make it 16 in a row for Pauls fans .

That was painful. I had to listen to the Lakers announcers for the first 2.5 quarters as I drove home from my daughters soccer game. Those guys, especially Mychael Thompson are Bad.

Special value is what you get, when you play Nick Stauskas! The Lakers will have a hard time keeping up with such spotty 3 point shooting. Go Blazers!

Meyers is overpaid, I’ve never cared for him.

It was a good game last night, a few things to tighten up. Was nice to see others carrying the load when Dame and CJ weren’t getting it done. That’s what we’ve needed.

Well, between the ads for California, Los Angeles, Lebron James, and the NBA which features Lebron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, aand the announcers talking about Lebron James and the Lakers, and the stories online today about Lebron James and the Lakers, there was actually a basketball game, and the Blazers won!

As a longtime hater of the LA Lakers, it was a trip to see Lebron wearing the purple and pee. Kinda scary, too. I've thoroughly enjoyed their misery lately. Though the Lakers are a mess now, if the team isn't where the King wants he'll force management to make changes, so who knows what that team will look like by the playoffs. Hopefully, really bad!

Blazers showed good resolve last night, good to see. They forced the game to slow down and out executed the Lakers. It helped that the Lakers can't shoot.
#1 worry: Nurk. He's simply not good enough offensively. If he can't score consistently then other teams will just smother Dame and CJ. Just like the playoffs. Let someone else beat them.
Getting more shooters was a good idea for when our back court needs help, a three guard lineup where the third option was also deadly from deep would make teams pay for overplaying CJ and Dame.
#2 worry: Collins. I think he's got a lot of potential, but if we want to go anywhere but a first round exit he needs to get better, fast.

One thing I noticed last night is that we have a lot of different types of players to play, situationally, that don't necessarily mesh with one another, so the challenge for the coaching staff will be who to go with and for how long. And we have a lot of guards!
It looks like the second unit is going to be a mix of shooters, and Evan Turner. Good idea, I hope. Drive and kick. Or score on a smaller defender.
He didn't get off the bench last night but I am thinking Wade Baldwin is going to have a big impact this year.

Nice to see Collins filling up the stat sheet. Need that glue guy.

Too bad we have horrible over priced contracts on file like Leonard and Turner otherwise we might be a contender.

The chief and Mo sure are hot and cold. Can't wait for the day when they are consistently producing on offense. If it was not for their hustle on defense and value contracts not sure where we would get it from.

The biggest thing I see is bench scoring, it's way up from past years.

I think the biggest thing with the bench is they have some veterans on it. It seem for the last decade or so they tried to go cheap on the bench and just use the guys the drafted and hoped they developed. This year they went out and picked up some guys who fit the style of play and have been in the league for a little bit.

Hate when the loose to LA. Need more then 10 points from your starting forwards. Bench struggled tonight also. I thought Curry was supposed to be a shooter though???

That was a really good win!
Stop me, guys, I'm starting to get excited about this team
Our second unit is awesome, they are playing like the Warriors (obviously not at that level!): ball movement, all switching on D, everyone can shoot threes (well, maybe ET should stick to just one or two wide open attempts per game from deep) great spacing for cutters, or if ET wants to post up the opposing PG.

And the starters are really executing well and playing calm and in control like a veteran team. Last night we controlled the game from the tip, slowly building and maintaining the lead, and it's been like that pretty much all season. We keep probing until we find out what works and then try to exploit that matchup, we have a lot of different weapons.

If we can shoot halfway decent we can be in any game against anyone. In the loss to the Lakers we took like 35 threes. And missed 29 of them. And lost by four.

Might be something special happening in rip city???

Nice home stand they had. They beat some of the better teams in the league. I am waiting on this 6 game road trip to see how they do before I get to excited though.

I like seeing Meyers playing well. The guy has taken a lot of abuse from fans over the years.

If you can stream the internet you can watch all their games (legally!)
I pay $40/per month for it. It's like cable, without the cable. Or the contract.
So I cancel it after the first round of the playoffs

It is like they have forgotten how they were playing early on. Not as much movement and passing in my opinion. Plus the bench guards have disappeared I think teams are figuring out to take the ball out of ET's hand with the second unit and they are struggling.

Yes they won by three. Should not have been that close. In the closing minutes of the game CJ went 0-2 at the line. Dame went 2-4 at the line and ET went 0-4 at the line. If they just hit a couple of free throws the game is over, instead Orlando had a chance to tie at the end.

It is a little sad the run of losses lately. It is very early in the season but I checked the conference standing about a week ago and the Blazers were in the #1 spot and now #7. Early, yes but what concerns me a little is they beat the bad teams like they should but seem to lose to the good ones (except the Bucks at home), like the ones that they will see in the playoffs. My prediction for the playoffs is the 5 seed and a 4-2 series loss in 1st round. I hope I am wrong and it is the 1 seed and a 4-2 finals win !

Who would have thought our best bench player would be Meyers. He is bringing it consistently every night. For the blazers to go anywhere they need to upgrade either the 3 or 4 and get someone who can score.

Yes and not looking like they are improving at all During the first 10 games they were only giving up 103 points a game now it is up to 118. I really think it is time for a change. I am just not convinced this back court is a long term success back court. I think Dame needs a better defender next to him.

They've just fallen off a cliff, hard to watch.

For some strange reason the Blazers are way better with Layman starting.

They had gone 2 and 4 over that last 6 games that Layman started. I don't think Harkless is the issue. If you really want to take a deep look, look at the first 10 games when everyone was wondering what was wrong with CJ as his numbers were down, but the blazers were winning. Then CJ's offensive numbers picked up and the winning % has plummeted. Now do I think this all CJ's fault no. Do I think they are playing a lot more iso ball and less team ball yes. The other big thing is early on Nurk was getting a lot more touches and now he seems to be only getting the occasional pass and put backs. Need to get him more involved.

Layman is the key, Blazers win big.

Another team ends their loosing streak against the Blazers?

As for Layman, think he is giving way to much credit.

He left as a free agent. Management wanted to give Collins more time.

That's too bad. He cleaned up a lot of garbage at the net.
