Default Underwater Smallmouth Part 2

Here is a small continuation of some pictures i took while diving on a local river. I took a shot of some of the rough terrain in the area. Stunning cliffs and peaks, full of scorpions and quite a few rattlers. The weather was very hot. July 31st. Feel free to ask any questions i will be glad answer!

Not all bass patrol the same areas of water for food. This is one of my favorite shots. It shows the way a lot of smallmouth wait in prey. I was amazed at how these fish held tight to the rocks. Most fish are not visible- they just blend into the cracks and shadows.

This fish may not be as easy to see. When they hold tight to the rocks, it seems like they can get into the tightest places and not be seen. A true master of his environment!

Another ambush!

Like i said, not all smallmouth patrol the same areas. This chunker i found " suspnding around" in this section of the river. It would be lethal to drag a worm in front of this fish. For the fish, an for your bait!

Catch me if you can!

Here it is.....the final result. After diving for 2 days straight, i decided to try a few things out. In the long run, it really doesnt matter what you use for bait here. It seems like they attack any thing i throw at them with a vengance. These fish are hungry. Even the smallest of them fight like they are heavy weights. And the heavy weights? I know where they live, what they eat, when, and why. This is what happens-

FISH ON!
