Default Need graphics help for a longtime Ifisher

Gang, I have stayed in touch with BigJo from Tillamook for some time now. Some of you surely will know or remember her. She lost her husband, Bill Bruns, to cancer in 2016. Bill and Jo were regulars fishing the Tillamook country. Bill also was the building engineer at South Prairie Elementary and helped the kids there to rear salmon eggs for release into Tillamook Bay. Jo recently formed the "William T. Bruns Foundation" to honor his memory. The foundation's purpose is to provide hunting and fishing licenses to kids from 12 through 17 who attend Tillamook School District schools. I can't think of a finer way to honor the memory of a sportsman.
Jo wants to figure out a way to change the font on the flyer below to make it bigger and easier to read, even if it means editing out some copy to make room. Easier said than done without a graphics program that retains the photo and the background images.
Does anyone here understand publishing software enough to give some advice on this? Jo has a recent Dell Windows PC, but doesn't have Publisher or any other such software.
Thanks if you can help.

Wish I could help Bill.
But only understand the basics of operating a Commadore.
And have only recently graduated to a Chromebook.
Best of luck.

I wonder if Tillamook High school has a digital design/graphic arts type class. Those types of classes often like real world projects and given the group this intends to help, I’d think they would help out.

May be worth a quick call to the school.

Try one of these schools perhaps a call would net a payoff as the goal is non-profit based.

Bill,

I took it and converted it from a picture to a MS Word document. It converted pretty good but you will need to proof read it and fix a few typos. If you would like it in a different format let me know.

Captain, thanks for that effort. I will forward the file to BigJo. Our challenge will be to make the salmon silhouette and logo "go behind" the type.

Putting the image behind the txt is really pretty easy it is called a watermark. To add a image behind txt put it there before the txt.

How to Use Watermarks in a Microsoft Word Document
  1. A watermark is a faded background image that displays behind the text in a document. ...
  2. In the Page Background group on that tab, click the “Watermark” button.
  3. On the drop-down menu, click any of the built-in watermarks to insert it into your document.
  4. Word places the watermark behind the text.
What you will want is to chose Custom and pic your own picture.

Thanks again, Captain! I think BigJo can see this on her phone.
I have a very old version of Word on my iMac and watermarks are under "Insert."
