Default Garage ceiling storage racks?

Moving into a different house and will be losing a bit of 'my' garage space in the deal so considering adding a ceiling storage rack of some sort. Never having used one in the past I'm curious if there's anything really to consider here. Seems like Home Depot has some pretty useful and simply options for less than $200.

Anything I'm overlooking here or is it as simply as it seems?

home depot ones work great!
no issues with mine at all.
Biggest trouble is finding a stud finder that works!
and do put soap on the screws to ease them in.
My third one I purchased is fairly reliable.

FYI on garage ceiling overhead storage.................if you park your prized 67 vette under them, don't be like my mom and knock a briefcase off the overhead storage, vette windshields can't handle it..........dad was not happy.....lol.

I have one in my garage. Great space saver for infrequently used stuff. The only downside is it's hard to get thinks up and down. Works perfect for seasonal items.

I used a sheet of dry wall in place of the plywood. Its been working for years. 4 eye hooks 4 sections of chain and a 2x4. I think it was $25 out the door and took 15 min to make a 48x96 shelf that hangs 12" from the ceiling.

Costco offers one from SafeRacks. We had two 4' x 8' units installed and like them. 600 pounds capacity each.

I have one that I bought from either HD or Lowe’s quite a few years ago. I also plan on getting one or two more at some point.

I keep our artificial Xmas tree and some misc. bigger items that don’t get used often on it. I suspended two lengths of closet rod dowel under it to store all of my fishing rods.

I’d take a picture of it, but my garage is a disaster right now!!

I made my own out of strut channel (Kindorf track) and plywood.

We have had the same racks for 15 or so years. We even moved them with us when we moved. Nice extension of space/storage. Rock solid.
