Default Digital thermometer

The thermometer on my transducer quit working so I need a simple device for reading temperature. Something I can tie on a rope and toss overboard, maybe? What’s out there?

I forget the brand, saw it at a show. Shows temps at different depths. Drop it down and pull it back up.

I bought a couple of different aquarium thermometers. Digital. Problem is the lowest temp starts at 58 F.

Try a simple infrared thermometer- no need to toss it in the water.. I use one to check my built in temp sensor, and it seems to be pretty accurate ( and quick). I just bought a cheap one at Harbor Freight

Vexilar Depththerm, can usually be found at bi mart. Floats, but can be attached to fishi g line and give you temps at depth of your choice.

I might buy one of these just so I can say Vexilar Deptherm.
