Every year for Christmas I’d get a new Far Side calendar. A real bummer when Gary stopped producing. My favorite is the boneless chicken ranch.

I don't remember the boneless chicken ranch, but I can picture chickens flopped around the farm...

B Ruff: You got it.

I also liked, Why The Dinosaurs Went Extinct. They took up smoking.

Another good one was two guys sitting in a boat fishing and seeing the mushroom clouds form over the city in the distance. One says to the other, that does it screw the limit... and something else.

In the rude surprise category, dog in the backseat calling to the neighbor's dog: "I'm going to get tutored!"

Pterodactyl training: One-armed caveman trainer to his pal: "Closer, Seymour, closer."

The coconut-like sound of their heads hitting together secretly delighted the bird.

"If we pull this off we will eat like kings." (spiders making a web across the bottom of a playground slide)

Midvale school for the gifted. I say this every time I don't get the door right.

The cat plastered againt the window looking out at the collision between the Rodent truck and the small flightless birds truck.

"This time I will be the wolf, you be the coyotes and listen, here comes the deer!" (dogs standing in the yard as a boy rides his bike past)

I love them all. And I have them all. Three volumes of The Complete Far Side.

Two bears near a busy city intersection, backed against a wall. "Well, we're lost, and it is only a matter of time until they spot us."

Then there was the old guy laying in the entrance of an alley. He had tire tracks across his back.
And a truck was driving off down the street.
Punch line was something like, "you never see the old age truck coming".
