how do you tell if you were drawn? does it say Congrats? or Sorry? I'm curious because I put in for West High Cascade Buck which is 100% and it says not selected what the heck that would be the first time since ODWF started the draws...

Go to the controlled hunts link. there will be a little green circle with a check mark. That is how all of duck season was this past year for if you were successful.

No point right now. site is down.

Drew high cascade second choice. Nada on everything else, but that's ok.

Well, that wasn't worth the anticipation... drew a Trout Creeks Traditional Bow Tag. Daughter managed "High Cascades" as 2nd choice.

Goats aren’t hard to hunt. Easy to find them. Look at a few and its easy to tell a nanny from a billy. Don’t shoot a nanny. Ha ha ha! I wish I had your problem!

No! Luckily I put in for goat and sheep tags that were in October so if this happened I wouldn't be screwed! Goat hunt is October 12th

According to Rons site I should have been 100% for Warner #2 antelope with 15 points and I still didn't draw. If I didn't have bad luck I wouldnt have any.

Okay, someone help me with this new system. What does SELECTED mean? There is NO WAY that I could draw out for Wagontire antelope with only 9 points. That would be over a 99% probability of NOT drawing it.

I am not getting my hopes up. Just want to learn more about this new system.

Same here but different archery unit for antelope. Two years in a row I was 100% to draw supposedly. Guess it's a good time to fix my knee.

You drew! Two of my kids drew similar pronghorn tags out of the 25% pool the first couple years they hunted. It happens.

You likely drew out of the 25% pool. Happened to me several years ago with the Juniper unit. I had 4 points and drew. Congrats! Go buy your tag! Enjoy your hunt.

My wife drew heppner deer on 2nd choice as did I which I feel lucky to be able to hunt together on the first year my daughter is eligible for the mentor program which is more important to me then an individual tag for sure. I also drew a big bull tag for heppner with only 1 point so I can say for the first time I think I'm in the 25% pool so overall I feel very fortunate

Wow. All I can say is Wow. I am blown away.

If this is true then the biggest decision I have to make is wether to use my

Tikka 270 with a 110g Barnes TTSX
Weatherby 257 Magnum with a 100g Barnes TTSX
Tikka 243 with a 85g Nosler Partition

I have other rifles but these are the three that come to mind.

I picked up 2 out of 3 second choice hunts. I got my buck deer and elk. Missed out on the antlerless second choice. That one was a hail mary, but according to Ron there was a slim chance. I'm happy with the results.

Got my Fossil buck, second season elk dew to my daughter's wedding, and after 18 years looks like we're hunting antelope in the Steens this year...........really pump for this season.

Buck tag, cow tag for me/uncle. With zero points we were only 5k above the seed for buck deer for a 1 point tag, so figured we’d draw that. Cow tag was on points.

I do know someone who drew a premium buck tag, and they were 200k above the seed number. I definitely thought you’d have to be a lot closer than that to draw.

The Weatherby for sure! That .257 is like a laser beam.

Does anyone know what the term "eligible" for an LOP tag means? Shouldn't it say selected or not selected? Hopefully, someone knows the answer.

Same here. I should of been right there but didn’t draw. Oh well there’s always next year.

I drew High Cascade buck (119A) on 2nd choice.

First choice was Applegate ML deer. If I'd drawn that I'd have definitely bought the Cascade general elk tag. Not sure if I will or not w/ this deer tag, guess it depends on whether I've tagged out or not. I don't like having 2 tags for the same time in different locations and having to choose which to hunt.
