Default Seeking prayers and good thoughts...

One of the fellows I take care of is in hospital again, unable to swallow food or drink. He has been in this situation before, but with pray and Gods help, he has always recovered. Each episode, seem worse and worse.
Doc is thinking maybe a feeding tube, again.
Thanks all.

He is home ( came home yesterday) with a feeding tube in his stomach. Doing better, but still a long road to total recovery.
Thanks for all the prays and well wishing.

And now again he is back in hospital, unable to keep anything liquid or solid down. Docs are stumped, no clues so far as to what is wrong. Our guy is in good spirits but is deffently tired of hospital stays, and does not understand why he can not come home.

Keep the prays and good thoughts flowing folks, thanks bunches.

Oh brother. Not sure anyone who hasn't gone through that or been a caregiver for someone who is can really understand what those circumstances are like...both the hospital stays and the feeding tube thing. Please convey to this poor soul I'm thinking of him and saying prayers for him to get past this and well on the road to recovery. When he does, he's going to love life, I'm thinking.

Wiskey, what MsOutdrs said. Hope the doctors can get it sorted out -- and soon.

I'm so sorry to hear this. My prayers are sent to him and you as a caretaker; it's the roughest job!
I was on a food tube for two months during cancer treatment and it saved my life as there was no way I could eat and not throw up afterwards but could get protein shakes down the tube enough to stave off starvation. Plus, some THC helped with the nausea. I did lose 75lbs in 4 months though, even with the food tube.

I hope we can hear good news next time we hear from you!

He is home again, came home on Friday, still with a peg tube (feeding tube). He Is alert and ornery as ever, mad because he can not “taste” his food. Scar tissue in his intestines caused a blockage, which has been fixed.
Thanks all for the prays and good thoughts, please keep them coming, as he is not totally “ out of the woods” yet, but is getting better.

This fellow is a true fighter for life. As an infant, his parents where told literally “he will not live, take him home to die.” That was 54 years ago, thanks to his loving parents and God’s good grace.
