I always wear a pfd anymore . Why take the risk? A sad and avoidable mistake with grave results. I feel sad for his family.

RIP Jeff.

He was one of the most experienced, and fishy, guys I've ever met. I'm waiting for more info to come out. I just don't see him falling out of the boat and drowning like that. Wonder if there was some kind of medical emergency?

Either way, wear a life vest.

Yes, I'll miss Jeff. I grew up with Him on the Willamette. He was ornery, but he just knew what is was like fifty years ago. He did have a heart of gold, though.

Funny thing was, I always remember him wearing a float coat. But yeah, wear your PFD.
