Zero this year for me...bummed out about not drawing Steens deer which we thought was basically in the bag with points. Didnt even put a second choice down. Guess my seed number should have been better.
I have you beat, I have -3 antlerless points. I had three and drew the Willy tag this year. It's going to take a while to draw again if I start over with -3.
Speaking of which, I do have a couple places to hunt, but always looking for more. Willing to trade dory trip
Yeah, right now they have it all screwed up. All I show is 1 point for each thing I didn't draw this year, all my accumulated points are gone. They were nearly correct first thing this morning. They had added my new points for everything but antelope. I'll give them a couple days to fix it before I go scalp hunting ... but if they don't get it right, I'll definitely be scalp hunting.
Yep, mine too...It went from no change this morning (applied for all preference points this year) to this afternoon, it shows only 1 point for deer, elk and antelope and 600 series stayed the same...
I pulled my first choice for elk this year, but now I have -4 elk points going forward. Crap, I'll be 72 years old before I ever get back to zero.

I think everyone should call ODFW local offices. So if you live in Corvallis for example call Adair Village. Salem, well call the headquarters. Eugene, call Springfield. If you tie up every single phone line they have may be they will get the point.
With the preference points being gone, or wrong could it be if you show 1 point it is the points gained this year? If you drew with 3 points you could show a -3 putting you back to 0 for next year. Just a guess, or ODFW just is messed up
Yeah that'd be my guess is if you had 3 points prior to draw, and you drew you first hunt choice that -3 probably means you lost those points and are even again. or 0.
Wait 24 hours or so then check again for those that are seeing minus points, and let the system refresh.
I drew my 2nd choice Metolious any Elk archery. Will do General Archery for deer
16 yr old daughter drew the Youth East slope elk tag. General Rifle tag for deer.
Wife drew SW Grizzly elk. Will do General Archery for deer
Youngest daughter and first time hunter (12) will get the Metolious first time youth Rifle Buck tag once the app comes live July 1st. She will hunt the General Rifle Cascade bull elk with her Great Grandfather.
We drew less than nothing, High Cascade buck as a second choice for me and somehow we applied my son for the wrong tag so his 11 points easily drew the tag that only needed 4. We realized this 2 weeks ago and called ODFW and they sent the point return petition form out which I got Saturday. I mailed it back Tuesday afternoon. Hopefully they decide to rescind his app and return his points.
Wow !! I'm super Jealous between my 3 boys I put them in for this hunt 18 times with my youngest having the most points when he was 17 with 8 or 9 points and still never drew alm:
Daughter drew Snake River any bull rifle elk tag. We know the country is way bigger than we can handle, but we'll have fun trying. I'm planning to bowhunt elk, and she's planning to bowhunt deer, so we'll make a scouting trip in September.
Son drew the North Bank youth blacktail buck hunt. If he's patient, it should be a good chance for him to get a nice buck.
Younger son will get to do a mentored buck deer hunt with me in the Imnaha unit. We tried a couple years ago, but he's a little older and more engaged now, so I think our chances are better.
We drew Catherine creek bull tags for 3rd year in a row and Fossil buck tags with 2nd choice. Lots of tags in fossil for a small amoint of public so that one will be interesting.
My oldest son and I drew rifle mule deer tags, it will be a first for both of us. I've bow-hunted for elk and deer many times in the unit we drew, but never rifle hunted mule deer ever, it should be a fun change of pace. My youngest son drew a youth cow tag.
My son and I got lucky and got Metolius deer with 0 points. I used all mine for Starkey Exp forest last year which was a big disappointment with only 2 of 25 hunters getting bucks. And I got my second choice for elk-Willamette LOP.
How are youth able to collect 11-12 points needed for this hunt? So that would mean they passed hunter safety at 6 and got a point every year until they were 17? I'm confused.
there are special rules for youth and mentored hunts that allow someone to enter the drawing without having a hunter safety course behind you.
