Default Partner for Klickitat Spey trip 10/9

I've got a Spey trip lined up on the Klickitat on Wednesday October 9th and my original partner has a business conflict and can't go.
Looking for someone interested in going.
Serious Spey fisherman only, please. If interested PM me for details.

I would be very interested in how you do up there...it has been rough the past few years.

I'll let you know. Question for you though, were there any summer steelhead in the Mollala this year? I used to fish it for trout a lot but quite a few years ago, like in the 80's. I would be surprised by a nice summer run every once in a while. The Willamette Falls counts this year made me think about revisiting it, but I didn't make it.

Sorry that I apparently can't spell it...Molalla, great area.

Beautiful fall day, worked hard and fished lots of great swing water.
One landed, and another grab made for a successful day for Spey.

Wow, sorry I didn't answer your follow up question...I just didn't see it until now.

There are always a few summers and fewer springers in the molalla...usually strays anymore.

They don't get a lot of pressure...the river gets tough with sweepers after the spring high water.

I mainly fish the upper corridor with a 3 wt and my dog. We just go out to have fun catching little 6" trout.

Once they stopped stocking the Mo it went downhill fast.

Thanks for the report on the Klickitat...I think we are heading up late November...love drifting those long runs in the upper river. We fish through The Evening Hatch or Redds.

Good luck in November, I'd be interested in how you do.
Dress warm, it was chilly yesterday, ice in the guides until about 9 AM...
