Default Prayers and Support For Forum Member Needed

I just learned last night that one of our own here is in need of our support. I'll not name him as I have not asked to do so. Just be aware that his wife is going to give birth to their second son a week from today. The child has been diagnosed with a heart abnormality, bowel blockage of some sort and early signs via testing of possible Downs Syndrome. The heart and bowel problems can most likely be resolved via surgery, keeping in mind the child will still be an infant when these are performed. The Downs issue has not been confirmed 100% but is definitely a bridge this young family may need to cross.
If so inclined please pray for this family. Good honest loving family that have a full plate right now but are taking it head on with courage and love of family.
Thanks

May god look over this family as the birth of their second son approaches. May he look upon this new child with grace and healing once he has arrived. And grant this family strength and grace as they endue what is ahead of them.......amen.

God, thank you for giving each one of us life. Thank you for knitting us together in our mother's wombs even before she knew we existed. Thank you for giving us a purpose for every beat of our hearts and every breath we take. It is in you that we live and move and have our being, we praise you for your good and beautiful works. We are not here by accident, and we thank you that this new, budding life is not an accident either. You are a gracious and generous giver of good things, Lord! This new life is in your hands, and we pray that we would be a good steward of this precious creation. In your name we pray.

Finn, have they had the baby yet? Praying the medical team can handle the internal issues with great skill and efficacy, and that this child be loved and give love all his or her life.

Thanks for checking Bill. The mother goes into the hospital this morning for a scheduled c section. Some indicators given a few days ago that the suspected bowel blockage may now be a partial blockage and may be taken care of more easily. Prayers on that. Only time will tell but the doctors have been encouraging to the parents regarding repairing the abnormality in the heart. Success rates have proven to be rather good. God willing the child (a boy) will grow up like any other child once these issues have been resolved. Their other son in a bundle of energy and our hopes are their new son will be as energetic.

Thanks for checking Bill. Momma has been released and the baby will hopefully be going home today. Once a little older, perhaps a few months he will have the heart surgery to repair what is abnormal. The baby is not completely out of the woods but the medical care is top notch and the parents have gone through training on how to properly care for the child under the circumstances. Now it's just let time takes it's course and God willing in the end the baby will have a normal life.
