Sort of ended up being a crappy day on the River Friday. We did OK with out the trolling motor but as we started the day my friend was having a problem with his battery staying charged. basically we did all our fishing with the motor running which I think is what spooked the fish. We all caught 4 or 5 little guys but nothing great. The largest fish we caught I almost didn't want to take a picture of but for what it's worth this was the "Trophy" of the day. (it wasn't even big enough to hide a fully extended arm behind to make it look like a nice 4 pounder, ha ha).
There were fish stacked up on the finder at around 20' but either they didn't like the motor or didn't like what we were tossing. The fish I caught were all on a D/S Wacke Rigg Yum Dinger but we tried about everything in the arsenal.
Better Luck Next Time I Guess...
Oh, Huntn'Fish I had a question for you: I spooled up some 8# Fire line on my Shimano SYMETRE spinning reel and it was coming off in a wad every now and again which I didn't quite expect. I think I've read you have used this before, any thoughts or suggestions.
