Default New member, salt fisherman.

Hello everyone, my name is Steven and I am a young fisherman based out of Salem, OR. I am an avid fisherman. Now a days I fish 90% salt and hit local fresh water when I don’t have the time to make it to the coast. I have a 16’ boat so Magic Seaweed is my best friend. I’ve spent my last year fishing mainly Newport, a lot of Rock fish, ling cod and salmon. Newport is my favorite port and don’t plan on changing that. My goal is to upgrade my boat and tackle some tuna and halibut. I am a fishing enthusiast and love sharing best practices. I look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome aboard fellow Salty. Upgrade as soon as you can, the ocean has been more nasty than nice these last few years.

Welcome aboard Steven! There such a wealth of information and learning resources being shared by these Old Salts- It's hard to soak up sometimes.
I recently downloaded NOAA Coast Pilot #7. Something to study on a slow day on the anchor.
Check out new posts for hourly boasting and scuttlebutt.

Welcome aboard Salt Seeker. You'll want to hang out on the Salty Dogs part of the forum, where the ocean fishermen hang out.
