Here's a step by step tutorial on picture uploads for the NEW PhotoPost software on Ifish. Don't be intimidated by the size of these instructions - it is simpler than it looks! Give it a try!

Note: Please install the latest Flash if the gallery doesn't work for you and you are using Windows 7. Jen

Begin by going to the Picture Galleries

or here

Then click on the Upload link

Select the image you want to display. Start by clicking "browse"

Then click on the file name for your image. When it displays in the dialog box, you can click "Open" to upload a copy of your file to Ifish.

Scroll to the bottom of the next screen and click "Upload/Submit"

The default gallery is the one labelled with your moniker. You don't need to do anything to select it. You can also add a title and description at this time, but you don't need to. Then click "Process Files"

Your file is now on the Ifish system. Next you need to find your image file.

Start by clicking on this link, or the word "My Gallery" above on the upper left.

Now, continue in the next post.

Re: ALL NEW Picture Posting Tutorial

fishnfool, you've used "attachment", which won't show your picture full size. Scroll to the top of this thread, on the first page, and you'll see how to post full size.

Testing photo post

end test
Nice pic of an adolescent black-tail. From this angle, hard to tell. No forken horns that I can see. Doesn't look like a Doe to me.

The most common reason is that the image files are over 200 kb ... they need to be smaller files. You don't need a file more than 25k or so due to the low resolution of a computer screen relative to a printed picture.

Download and use irfanview, you won't be sorry!

Re: ALL NEW Picture Posting Tutorial

I understand that my pics are way too big. I opened with paint and then resized. When I resized, only a fraction of the picture came through.....like the very upper left hand corner.

HELP!

ALL NEW Picture Posting Tutorial

I was going to post on a RV Forum that I frequent looking for information and someone wanted to see my flag pole attached to my travel trailer.

I went to irfanview and it did not work for me the way it use to. I even removed it and downloaded again and still NO work.

Went to Pete's instructions and after a hundred times going back and forth from his instructions and irfanview I was able to resize pictures.

It is simple. Just hard the first time through

Thanks Pete.

Here are the pics of my Camp in Kah-Nee-Ta with flag pole being the center piece.
