Default Sandy River Boat Training (Wed.)

Gresham Fire Dept. will be running the Sandy from Lewis and Clark to Oxbow multiple times in our rescue boat tomorrow, Wednesday from 8:30-12:00. We apologize for the noise and wake.

In the future, our goal will be to post on Ifish with more notice to give everyone a heads up who is planning on fishing.

Thank you.

Thanks for the friendly heads up. I'm sure I speak for all when I say, we appreciate all the hard work and training and I hope I never have to meet ya on the river

You guys saw the 90 degree forecast and figured it would be a good day for bikini safety inspections...

Just kidding. We all appreciate the efforts of our emergency responders. Have a safe day on the water.

They didn't scare all the fish away…not that there is a lot of fish around.

A freakin' sturgeon fell for some back-bounced eggs:

And a Summer Steelhead fell for some Sandshrimp:

Where are all the Chinook?? Our only 2 bites of the day and neither were our target species. The Sandy should be lousy with fish right now. I sure miss our runs of 2004 and 2005…..
