Do share the yellowtail bombers recipe, sounds intriguing!

Sometimes my presentation is lacking but it usually tastes good anyways. Tonight was no exception. If there is one dish I miss that my ex made it's meatloaf. She made my mom's recipe and I loved it. Beyond that she could burn hamburger helper and usually did.

So tonight I made an attempt at meatloaf. It tastes really good. Made with blacktail and pork. Me and the dog are still eating it off the kitchen floor. I'm glad I don't have a date tonight as I'm not sure how I'd explain this but I'm not wasting it. Slid right off the stove top after pulling from the oven.

As easy as it gets. Dredge in POW, let sit 30 minutes and dredge again. Sautee in peanut oil over medium heat for about 2 minutes on a side. Serve without throwing on the floor. We served with crispy hash browns, lemon wedges and fresh fruit. I do larger ones the same way except slice across the filet.

Thanks for the recipe grizzly, I'll try and keep it on top of the counter 🤣

Your food pics are always amazing Cw, that bread is a masterpiece in itself.

Got a couple limits of razors off the north clatsop beach this afternoon, I'll work on eating those this week.

If any of you salts have a chance to dig tomorrow afternoon I'd go for it, easiest digging I've had this winter season, shows all over of 5" clams. Better tides the next couple days.

Today just felt like a comfort food type day with the snow and chill. Smoked a tri-tip for 5 hrs and then threw it in the pot on the stove with some veggies at lunchtime. Pretty good grub, wish I had some bread like CCW's girl to mop up the juice but I'm too tired to worry about details.

No pictures but the last two nights I had Halibut Clam Chowder.
Just made extra clammy chowder and added diced halibut chunks.
Halibut doesn't flake into tiny bits like most fish.

Add the Halibut to the chowder 5 minutes before serving for tender and juicy bites

Yeah those carcasses are dynamite to the smokehouse to give you some great stuff for your salmon dip as well.

Been eating junk like restaurant pizza lately so had a hankering for something tasty tonight. First the tuna belly goes in the pan, bacon salt seasoned. Get the rice cooking and add the vinegar, sugar, and chives when rice is cooked. By then the cast iron is hot and the tuna bacon is finished, so searing the loins commences. Hard to beat this NW albacore with tuna bomb sauce on it, got a few good sandwiches coming the next couple days with the leftovers.

Our favorite plate at the Lost Roo in Long Beach, the Tuna Tower. Its sticky rice with thin sliced cucumber then avocado, pickled ginger, caviar, seared Tuna slices plated with wasabi stripes and home made chili sauce. Dang good as the combo fills my belly.
