Default Hamstring Rehab?

Lets make this easier -

Does anybody have any experience or knowledge in hamstring rehab they'd be willing to share either on or off line?

Thanks!

I pulled my hamstring twice while lifting weights and playing basketball. It is important to take it easy. No running  The one thing that helped a lot was ultrasound. This was done by my dad at his chiropractic office. I don't know how it workes, but it does.

Thanks Cowboy, I've pulled a lot of muscles before, but this is something else!

I was hoping to stay out of the Physical Therapists office, so instead of ultrasound I'll try some heat and see how that works. I've been doing a ton of stretching, and even though I've cut back on my running, I guess I'll just quit altogether for a while. (it's hard to stop when you've got a routine going)

Did you do any excercises to strengthen your hamstrings as part of your rehab? Or did you just stretch and take it easy? How long did it take to get back to normal?

Thanks again!

I will agree with the heat pads They feel good and help.
I did continue to stretch and exercise a little, but instead of running I went to a fast-pace walk. It took me a good 3-4 weeks before I felt I could exercise and lift agian. Man that seamed like forever.

Thanks dude, I ran this morning, but it will be the last time for a while until I get this thing under control. I've been holding my leg all day since then.

I appreciate your input, and hopefully it will help. I never thought 41 was old, but when it comes to working out, it comes through loud and clear!

Thanks again for your input.
